About Our Firm
JAY KAY TESTING provides professional soils laboratory testing
services to the design Professional Engineer in the
Baltimore/Washington area. As a demonstration of our commitment to
providing quality service, we participate in the AMRL (AASHTO Materials
Reference Laboratory) proficiency sample program and have received a
certificate of accreditation from the AASHTO Accreditation Program (view
our listing).
Prior to starting Jay Kay Testing, the owner spent 16 years managing
the soils laboratories of several well established Geotechnical
Engineering firms. It was soon recognized that these firms all had a
need for assistance during periods of high testing volume from outside
sources. There also was a need for training of lab personnel. This
experience helped develop our mission which is to provide the
engineering community with quality soil laboratory services at
competitive prices.
Jay Kay Testing began offering its service modestly in 1994 with faith in
God and one client. By 2010, our 16th year in business, we have
provided independent soils laboratory services to over sixty firms. We
specialize in soils laboratory testing and are dedicated to quality, while
serving our clients on a personal basis.
We provide high quality laboratory test reports that the Geotechnical
engineer can simply insert into their engineering report. These reports
can be customized to suite specific requirements.
